VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Our organization has made some incredible headway since our inception just over one year ago. Our work has evolved from a small group of women concerned about the policies and practices of the Department of Corrections into a growing non-profit organization that has developed capacity to engage in organized advocacy and legislative engagement work. As we continue to build upon some of the incredible successes we have had to date, we need your help. There are several opportunities for you to become involved in various areas of our efforts, and we invite you to consider whether any of the following opportunities are of interest to you.

Website Design: Develop and maintain our organization's website to ensure effective communication of our mission and initiatives.
Social Media Engagement: Manage our social media to increase engagement and raise awareness about our work.
Prison In-Reach Advocate: Connect with incarcerated individuals to provide support, resources, and advocacy for their needs both during and after incarceration.
Policy Researcher/Writer: Conduct research on relevant policies and legislation, and draft concise summaries and analyses to support our advocacy efforts.
Communications Specialist: Craft compelling messaging and materials to effectively communicate our organization's goals, achievements, and impact to various stakeholders.
Legislative Team Member: Collaborate with our legislative team by attending our monthly visits with state lawmakers where we share our stories, experiences, and ideas for meaningful criminal-legal reform.
Community Support Advocate: Engage with community members to understand their needs, provide support, and advocate for resources and services to address local issues.

These opportunities are flexible according to your schedule and level of availability.
